Takku Yacana - likewise utilizes traditional tools, no horses, just good old fashioned back breaking work with not a single day of rest during the week or as they put it "Trabajo todo dia, todo mes!" (Work all day, all month!). If you are a body builder or wish to become one, go there. You may go there with some energy but will be totally without it in 3-4 days after staying there. Wait for the best part! Your living quarters are a run down wine house, hot showers are impossible seeing as there is no hot water on the farm. The nights were freezing, and the occasional fight with bugs in the terrible living quarters were more than frequent. Another one of their lies was how they spoke English - this too is incorrect - Spanish speakers only is our recommendation. The town located 6km (that they would like you to hitch-hike to) was less than adequate as far as towns are concerned. Once you are at their slave house farm leaving to get something from a store for breakfast is looked down on and you will find yourself being scolded like a child. oh, and DEFINITELY do NOT go there if you have ever even been to America!!! they WILL call you "TERRORISTAS" ! If you are thinking about going to this farm and would like some evidence of their LIES then please email me before hand so I can show you the proof of their LIES in their own EMAILS (that I will NEVER delete for the sake of others thinking about making the same mistake we did, working there!). And oh, they will NOT thank you for anything even though you pay to go there. Happy farming, but not at Takku Yacana!
