We are Bernadette and Shawn.  We are 26 and 27, and we are having a baby boy in late April/early May.  We have been on the road since September 2010.  We desperately seek an opportunity to work-exchange in a communal setting as soon as possible.  Being that Bernadette is due to have a baby so soon, we are not sure that this is possible, or that many farms/communities/homesteads will be eager to open their doors to us.  Having a baby is a MAJOR motivation to NOT go back to our slave jobs, but to pursue self-sustainability more than ever.  If you have positions available, please contact us.  We are interested in organic gardening, natural building, naturopathic medicine, animal husbandry, hunting, art, cooking, food preservation, midwifery, and more.  We would prefer to stay on the west, as our family is in California, and we'd like to be relatively close for visits with our new baby (a day's travel or less).  Hope to hear from someone soon!
