: ) Hi!My name is Anala, and I have been *yearning*
to make my way out to Kauai for a while, now... and I finally have my
chance! I *just* found out today~~ I will be arriving on February
13/14th, and staying through March 8.
{~!~ Wow ~!~}During this time I am seeking places to visit,
connect with kindred spirits, contribute to the daily community life in
whatever ways I may be helpful, while experiencing their lifestyle,
community, ways of being. I would love to hear from folks around there, to connect and see if I might be interested in including your community in one
of my places to experience and exchange with.
I have lived in community quite a bit, including at Lost Valley
Educational Center, an aspiring ecovillage outside of Eugene, Oregon.
Wonderful, beautiful people and land and synergistic growth, there. And
the Heart of Now workshop . . . mmm. A gem.
I have experience and skills in various areas which may be beneficial,
including with gardening, cooking/meal preparation, childcare; and I
just earned my permaculture certificate this past year~~ and am always
open to trying new things! I also am in training to become a holistic
health guide, and grew up at a yoga institute in NE Pennsylvania. And I
love to play music/sing/*harmonize*! And I am 30 years old, female,
with a degree in Environmental Studies from Oberlin, and a Master's in
Vedic Science.
There's a little bit about me. :)I would love to hear some more
about you and your situation, and possibly spend time there and get a feel for your
community, in whatever capacity might be most useful to you, and for
some length of time between 1 and 3 weeks; whatever might work for you.
Thank you very much; *Grazie mille* ~ Mahalo ~ 'til soon!
~Anala ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ The
plain fact is that the planet does not need more 'successful' people.
But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers,
story-tellers, and lovers of every shape and form. It needs people who
live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to
join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these needs
have little to do with success as our culture has defined it.
