We have a farm within a small city which offers retail opportunities.  It is a five plus acre farm with some original buildings, including a two story house which is available for interns, and manager.  Organic practices are used to grow vegetables, fruits and honey, as well as Christmas trees on another farm.We currently do a CSA, retail marketing, and two farmer markets.  Growing is done year round in a 30 x 144 foot greenhouse which is minimally heated allowing for greens production.  Looking for an energetic, creative type individual who is a quick learner, preferably with horticultural experience, as we have a second greenhouse for production of flowers and vegetable starts.Customer service based on honesty, production based on efficiency, along with the needed biodiversity without ignoring quantity for  marketing purposes are all valued and desired.Teamwork, good communication skills, a strong use of the word "We",  good listening skills, and the ability to create and maintain a life balance for the farm by maximizing use of time, resources, and agreed upon goals are all desired.  Finally, as I close my emails with a signature, I invite all to grow!  So if you want to grow plants, if you want to grow personally and professionally and help us grow, get in touch with us.  We are looking for help almost immediately, as our current help has indicated a desire to move on to other opportunities.  Housing, half of the utilities, and a stipend are provided.  Let us know what you are looking for and we can talk about it.  Located in a small town yet near other university towns.
