Located outside the largest settlement on the Island of Hawaii, Hilo Organic farm markets to a wide network. Hilo's objectives lie in sustainable agro ecology, permaculture, and regenerative agriculture. Hilo's mission is to build a career for a life time. We look for individuals willing to give 30 hours of work a week in return for exploration of sustainable farming measurements. For more information email Susan Evers at

Dear to whom this may concern, Wow i am amazed by your description and feel this is my calling! I am very interested in permaculture and sustainable living. I would love nothing more than to come and learn at your farm over the summer. I am 21, mature, strong able-bodied man who truly feels that the most important skill to have in our day and age is the knowledge of sustainability. Is there any chance I could come and give an extra hand to your farm over the summer? Last summer I spent a month in Costa Rica on an organic farm and loved it extremely and want to keep getting more experience in the future. Hope to hear from you soon, Alex Grau
Working with Hilo Organics opened my eyes to the enormous benifiets of sustaible farming. I highly recomend comitting the hours to Susan and her team, it was a learning experince I could never have gotten in the classroom!
