We want you to come full of enthusiasm, energy, and ideas. We also want you to recognize that you're stepping into a place that has been operating for many years and that things sometimes change slowly (or reluctantly). Fresh eyes see great new techniques and ideas but they are also in an entirely new paradigm. Often the greatest challenge between the farmer and the new apprentices (those who will soon be the farmers) is how we reconcile our individual answers to 'why?' and 'how?' we farm, both locally and globally. Experiences that did not work meant we had distinct 'how?' and 'why?' answers that were, after much consideration, not compatible; experiences that did work meant we were unified by and with these answers. The sooner this is communicated the more genuine and positive your experience will be.
