My family recently started up a website called SeedLiving, to enable small and diversified growers to exchange open pollinated seeds, live plants and news with each other. Its a pay what you can website so that everyone can participate. We’re hoping to make a dent in the strength and the profits of the largest seed companies, primarily those who copyright and treat their seeds.

Until recently Frank and I tried quite diligently to create and intentional community in the Painted Desert. We had a herd of more than 40 Nubians and LaMancha Dairy goats and had an excellent reputation for well-loved/cared for goats in the area. We also raised chickens, geese, ducks and guinea fowl.
After several years of trying to make it happen, we decided to become part of community rather than re-inventing the wheel. Thus, we returned to an awesome community in Central Arizona where we are quite happy.
hey friends! i am looking for a farm i saw briefly on this website last fall. if anyone knows what i am about to talk about here. please let me know how i can find the farm.
this particular farm is in washington and takes applications for volunteers each october. it is communual living with a $100 dollar each month payment to help with running costs. i think it is on orcas island. any ideas? thanks and have a blessed day.
All hands are being diverted to do emergency drainage work around the farm at the moment- the rains have been something fierce lately! During the day its normally quite sunny and pleasant but then the deluge comes after about 8pm. Our little stream that is normally dry has been running for over 2 weeks now!
Papayas are ripening in large numbers again and the cucumbers continue to be a success. We're also slowly getting back up to speed with our chile production. Generally the gardens are suffering a bit due to the intense rains. And we're still only in August!
The volunteers are an important element for Rancho Montezumo, for being a source of work and feedback for us. Be lodged in houses shelters where one offered all the comforts them so that they can enjoy a pleasant stay. The volunteers in our property carry out different tasks and projects; they live all the different works.They must fulfil 30 working hours, having the afternoons frees to enjoy its free time, our schedules are flexible of Monday through Friday initiating to the 8:00 am after the breakfast. It is asked for to them to help in the kitchen and the cleaning.
