At this Homestead, we're dedicated to doing things are own damn way. The credo to get in touch with is 'Do what ye will, but harm ye none' ... Socially libertarian by default and spiritually confused by necessity, we're looking to take things to the next level, while maintaining a high level of sustainable comfort.

Instruction in tropical fruit tree propagation is available and a priority at this time. Other projects include, Spring capping for drinking water, Gorilla gardening in the food forest, Establishing low maintenance/input poultry egg production system. The theme to these projects is low cost/low maintenance. A tried a true recipe for success.

Got your own ideas about how to set up a sustainable ag. system? All reasonable projects will be considered.
The vision is a nearly self-sustaining permaculture system based around tropical fruits and grazing animals. Land Stewardship and Economic viability are the only common thread. The final vision will change like the weather.
The setting is very rural but we are located within a mile of a store, post office, two beach parks, free internet cafe, two bakeries, multiple eateries, vegan museum(seriously), and buddhist Bed and Breakfast that holds community events all year round.

Located on the wet side of the big island at 500ft-50ft elv. less than a mile from the ocean. The homestead begins at the edge of one of the area's largest rivers(akaka falls) and has an extreme topogaraphy, including inverted cliff sides 400ft tall too level areas with rockless soil reaching down over 12 feet!
