Certified organic 5-acres. Large multi-farm CSA, farmers markets. Vegetables, herbs, flowers, avocados & other tropical fruit. Redland, Florida, south of Miami near Homestead and the Everglades. Opportunities available October-May for self-starters serious about growing. We are typical of small-holder operations with hand-labor, and little or no machine work. Hard work, long hours during height of the season. Stay for 2 months or longer- work exchange: 28 hrs/wk; internships: 5 1/2 days/wk with small stipend depending on prior experience. Basic room & board, food from the farm as available. Communal kitchen. Please note: we depend heavily on our work-exchange & intern staff to keep the farm viable, and remind you we are not a relaxing vacation stay or a B&B. We take commitments seriously- if you says you're coming for 3 months, that's what we expect.
