We have a 100 ac. family farm near Lewisburg WV, currently raising
heritage hogs, chickens, and 3 acres of produce which supplies several
area farm markets. A 3000 sq ft high tunnel has been erected to promote
season extension, we utilize a raised bed, plasticulture with drip
irrigation. Upwards of 20-30,000 row feet available. Not certified
organic, but organic standards followed, land has been chemical free for
4 decades. We are looking for the right young, energetic, go-getter, to
take these crops from seedling to market. That includes planting,
maintaining, harvesting, packaging, and selling at 3 area Farm Markets.
Our farm is established in the area, a mainstay in the area markets, and
potentially a top producer in the county. We currently supply 4
restaurants, and 120 individual customers, with much room to expand. We
are wanting to focus more on developing our meat production, as well as
some value added product options. The right person/couple would adopt
the produce operation as there own baby, we would help with soil
nutrient quality, raised bed mulch laying, drip irrigation, cover crops
(green manure) and natural fertilizers, seeds, seedlings, and
refrigeration before point of sale. Pay would be the ability to stay on
property potentially, all be it, if you bring or build a structure. (I
am also a building contractor with all those tools, and some materials)
An equitable and realistic profit share of all produce sales, completely
negotiable, There are 36 weeks of Market sales annually and 3 area
markets. We estimate total income potential of 3 acres, at 30-45k, if
