Dancing Waters
Permaculture Cooperative
is seeking MORE than just a
Summer FARMING Intern
Dancing Waters
Permaculture Cooperative, a 30 year-old rural living co-operative (6
households) nestled in the hills of Southwest Wisconsin's Driftless
Region, is seeking an intern
for the summer of 2012. Our primary focuses include annual and
perennial garden-farming building, and learning to live in harmony
with the land and one another, through a permaculture lens.
We
will have a lot going on this summer, and are hoping to have some
help in three main areas, childcare, gardening, and orcharding, as
well as, general farm maintenance and building projects. We
expect the intern to work 10
hours per week caring for one family’s children- 2 and 8 year old
boys, and 20 hours work including garden, orchard, and other projects
to be decided by the timely needs of the co-op. We hope that the
intern will also be
interested in learning about
and participating in the social
aspects of our community, including shared meals, workpartys, and
fun!
We will offer the intern
a place to stay at the farm, three meals per day,
and a stipend
for childcare ($200/month).
