Ralston Farm, LLC is a small farm growing on 2 acres of rented land in Mendham, NJ.  We produce for a 55-member CSA,  a few local restaurants and our summer farm stand.

We are looking for someone to help expand and manage our livestock operation, beginning September 2012.

Applicants should be fit, able to work independently, and have previous experience working full seasons on small-scale farms.  The livestock manager will be responsible for raising 2-3 new flocks of chickens and 8-10 new pigs, building new mobile housing, fencing and other livestock infrastructure-related tasks. 

We currently pasture and woodland raise chickens and pigs on a very small scale - this position is an opportunity to help us expand production and provide more diverse sources of protein for our CSA and other customers.

A modest weekly stipend and unlimited produce will be provided.  Work will be full-time during September-October and part-time over the winter months.  This position is ideal for a young person from or living in the Morris County, NJ area.
