Shakti-Moon -- Sanctuary of the Goddess
Far from the pressure of having to "dance to" the tune of drummers we often don’t even like, there is
SHAKTI MOON – Sanctuary of The Goddess
Here, you can be yourself, linger where your heart takes you, talk to the trees and have the quiet to receive the answers. Hike any trail, listen to a wide variety of birds throughout the day and let yourself be awed by a vast, starry night sky like you may have never seen before.
We welcome you, caretaker(s) who love the land, respect the Earth, preferably with earth and/or goddess anbd/or reality based spirituality. Ideal for artists or writers who enjoy physical work and interacting with animals. We have nine goats, a dog, a cat - in reverse order of dominance.
What we need is conscientious, self-motivated, self-reliant people with good social skills and personal boundaries, who will take responsible care while we are here and while we are traveling. You are healthy, grown-up, physically hardy, non-smoker(s)/non-drinkers/non-substance abusers(s). In other words: no drinking, no smoking, no drugs, no parental projections. You are as enthusiastic as we are about developing our 15 acres of forest, pasture, creek and pond into a self-sufficient, eventually off the grid home sanctuary.
We offer private place to live (our fifth wheel or place for your RV) including water, electricity and satellite internet connection in exchange for your contribution. We also have a small car available (you insure, A/C not working). You may also get recreational/studio use of 20’ x 40’ cabin with open view of meadow, sky and mountains.
Basic tasks, all of which we can teach you, include such things as assisting with fence building and repair, feeding (possibly milking) goats, simple carpentry, land clean-up (slash), gardening, etc. You will need a source of income for your personal expenses and for food, some of which you can grow in our (to be built and you will help us) organic garden and green house. We are located in Sunny Valley/Wolf Creek, the nearest sizeable town is Grants Pass, ½ hour drive away.
