WWOOFERS / APPRECTICES wanted for work exchange at Permaculture / organic farm site on the North Shore of O'ahu, Hawaii. One acre Permaculture mini-farm (homesite), and one acre organic training farm. Nearby activities include: beaches, marine life sanctuary, horse riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, hiking, kite surfing, mountain biking, massage & yoga classes available. We are looking for hard working persons that can dig, chop, plant, pull weeds, harvest product, shovel mulch, use a machete, weed wacker, and roto-tiller and perform other farming duties as needed. Duties also include selling produce at local farmers market. Persons with food preparation, construction and mechanical skills are highly regarded. 

Must be in good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 Ibs. Must have good interpersonal skills, and be accustomed or willing to working hard in hot and or wet weather and with bugs. Work hours are mornings and evenings, resting at least three hours at mid-day. Accommodations are two small cottages, out door shower, compost toilet, and access to main outdoor kitchen. Apprentice will learn all aspects of organic growing in Hawaii,as well as food preparation 
and Permaculture practices, aquaculture, fowl, agroforestry well as an introduction to Polynesian food and other useful plants and their uses as well as pest solutions, and strategies. Apprentice will also participate in weekly farmers market. Hours will vary from three to five hours daily, two and one half days off per week. We can accommodate up three WWOOFERS at one time. Prefer one month or longer stays. Access to all produce onsite, local phone service, laundry, and use of wireless internet, (bring own computer) and mountain bike. Positions are open year-round. Resume and at least two references are required for consideration.

Aloha! I was born and grow up in the Venezuela Jungle . I'm an expert with the machete and all types of growing and planting . My only problem is that I only have 2 weeks of Vacation from Sept 1 to 15,2012  .If you are interested in my help ..I'll be on my way .Thank you !.
