We are a diversified organic vegetable and small fruit farm located in lovely Belmont, Maine. We market our produce at our farmstand, our 50 member CSA and three midcoast farmers markets (The photo above is a great crop of babies at our 2012 CSA dinner!) We are in our fourth season owning our own farm. Working here is a great way to learn about building a business from the ground up!

We are looking to hire four full time apprentices for the 2013 growing season. Apprentices should have a good work ethic, curious mind and fun loving personality! We work hard and we play hard. Applicants can expect long work days, averaging 12-14hrs and 5-6 day work weeks. We want to take the time to teach as much as we can as long as work is getting done efficiently while maintaining our high quality standards. The earlier in the spring you arrive, the more you will learn, as we have more time to teach in the spring and fall.

We provide a stipend that ranges from $100 to $200 depending on the length of your commitment. Please contact us for more info.  Accommodations are first come first serve. We have two small cabins  and a camper suitable for an individual or couple. No electric or running water, they are quipped with camp stoves and gravity fed water. Apprentices will have use of outdoor shower and outhouse as well as in house bathroom/kitchen. We provide dinner after every workday in our farm house, and all other meals are eaten separately. Apprentices have full access to vegetables and eggs as they are available, and also to dry goods (flour, dry beans, rice, oatmeal) that we buy in bulk.

During blueberry harvesting season there is an opportunity to make cash raking blueberries for fresh market sales. We pay by the winnowed quart/pint of high quality berries.
