The Ms. Fit Ranch is a small, demonstration farm focused on sustainable growing practices for poultry, vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. Produce and eggs are sold at an urban farmers' market and roadside stand during the season. The farm also hosts classes and workshops on sustainable growing practices and using vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers in the home. The Inn at the Ms. Fit Ranch offers two Bed & Breakfast rooms for those seeking educational travel alternatives and "haycationers" in the Kansas City metro area.

We are located in a rural area just 30 minutes north of downtown Kansas City and 20 minutes east of KCI airport.

Accommodations are typically a finished basement room with futon and private bath. During the winter, B&B rooms may also be available; however, farming activities will be limited to farm planning, indoor seed starting, and agritourism business development.

We are looking for assistance from those who want to learn more about raised bed organic growing, poultry management, integrated pest management, companion planting, and developing agritourism operations. We can offer lodging and basic utilities for those willing to put in at least 20 hours a week. Full room and board is available for a minimum of 30 hours/week; work will involve all aspects of managing the business from working in the gardens and managing poultry to developing new workshops and promoting the Ms Fit Ranch educational activities and Bed & Breakfast lodging experience.
