We moved here over 10 years ago with a mission - take this over poisoned, dead earth and heal her. Give her what she needs to heal. Heal and feed her so she can feed and heal us. So, we began composting, forbidding chemicals which poison living beings and start off small. We started growing peas, grasses, anything which would feed the soil! We started raising geese and chickens and added their droppings to the soil. In a few years, we started growing medicinal herbs, beans, tomatoes and planted fruit trees, blueberries, raspberries, elderberries, grapes and nut trees. We continued to gently expand the garden's areas, but only as we could feel we could work it AND put more life into it than we were taken out.

We have a total of 6+ acres, but currently only  1/2 acre is being used for growing, expanding each year. We have two greenhouses and will be putting in cold frames soon. This half acre doesn't take into account the 6 cherry trees, 2 apples trees, carpetheon walnuts, currants and gooseberry bushes. We've also cleared our land of noxious weeds (always a battle) and made sure to nourish and encourage native growth.

Each year we do and grow better! We're proud of the accomplishments we've made but know it needs to grow much more with the purpose of sharing with others what we have and could be.
