We are renovating and building these months and can use some strong hands who can assist Tom, the builder, with weedwacking, clearing, recycling and building

The work exchange is 20hrs week 5 days of 4hrs, that gives housing a shared kitchen to cook your foods, and a shared garden to grow vegetables in.

Farming, Health and Conscious Living
Date: June 7th, 2013- Through November 15th 2013

Experiential Program:
This year we offer a unique experiential program, which includes 3 important aspects of life.  Our state of Mind, Our Body and how to take care of it by Growing Healthy Foods.
 
 By cooperatively managing Dakini Gardens and Retreat, particularly the orchard and vegetable side of it, attending weekly lectures, discussions, learning meditation, taiji, and all aspects of “Natural Farming” which include the fermentation of foods, one will learn a balanced and harmonious way of living life.

Monthly field trips will include other farms, and other aspects of the Big Island of Hawaii.  We will also learn communication skills, visioning techniques.

Students can also set up a simple business plan and try out selling products at the local farmers markets, to gain hands-on knowledge and customer/selling skills.


Program Details:
dates: June 7th- through November 15th
Tuition cost  $4400.00.  ( 1 Partial scholarships available)
onsite camping or housing available:$180/mo (shared jungalow, or bring a tent)
