General Description: Our four acre farm sits on a hill, amongst a lovely apple orchard in the center of Ashfield. I have been growing flowers for events for the past 8 years and am wanting to expand our gardens to produce 30% more food for our catering business.

Our signature floral arrangements include an array of seasonal, fresh-picked flowers and foliage from the gardens here at the Curtis House.

We plan, arrange, and cater events—weddings, bat and bar mitzvahs, showers, reunions, small gatherings, or memorial services, indoors or outdoors, at a variety of venues.

Located in Ashfield, a classic, rural western Massachusetts town in the foothills of the Berkshires, we're a half-hour drive from the Pioneer Valley towns of Northampton and Amherst, about 2 hours from Boston, and about 3 hours from New York City.

Whatever you imagine for your event, we're here help you realize your dreams. We'll help you every step of the way, from planning and budgeting to coordinating the day.

Skills Desired: Would love to find a skilled gardener and/or landscape designer. Carpentry skills are a plus.

Educational Opportunities: I am an experienced gardener, floral designer, crafts person and cook. Am willing to teach and share my 25 years of experience.

Stipend: Would hire you for my catering events.

Housing: A room here at the Curtis house is available.

Internship Details: Am looking to expand our farm and gardens to produce 30% more of the food we use in our catering business in attempt to make it more sustainable and green.

We are looking for someone to help with a work exchange to expanding gardens, work on the barn and fields in preparation for the addition of livestock, and help with renovating kitchen space for catering.

Need someone with garden experience and possibly some carpentry skills.

40 hrs per week in exchange for room and board.
