Small certified organic farm with apples, cherries, chile, tomatoes, other field crops, and herbs. Chickens and goats provide eggs milk and manure. Irrigation is gravity flow from acequia system from a small free flowing river. Organic starts are grown in a small homebuilt greenhouse. Housing for interns is in an old adobe house that is currently under remodel, but will be useable by April. We will be looking for help for planting seeds, planting starts into larger containers in April and May. June and July we will be taking care of the row crops by hoeing and irrigating. August and September we will be harvesting and preparing fruits and vegetables for market. Throughout the season we need help with the marketing at several farmers markets within 50 mile radius. We expect the help to work hard and average 40 h a week. We expect people to be eager to learn about organic farming.
