MicrosoftInternetExplorer402DocumentNotSpecified7.8Normal0 "> Hi folks, Are you still in search for additions to the farm crew?  We are a strong, experienced, couple looking to do a bit of farm/homesteading exploration this season. We are on the search for where we would like to build a home and are taking this year to explore communities and hone in on our skills and interests. We still have a lot to learn before we do it ourselves. We are more than willing to settle in one location for the season if we feel we have found a place sharing a common vision but are equally open to shorter stays.  We work hard, take life as it comes, and assertive about our goals. Laid back, down to earth, looking to learn as much as we can before we go through our own trial and error process. We laugh lots. Like to work with our hands. Like to be around positive and uplifting people with a sense of humor and an honest outlook. We are looking to find a sort of welcoming community atmosphere to share ourselves with. We feel we have a lot to offer. Social, artsy types, we thrive in creative environments. While we are not looking to make a ton of money on this endeavor, we do expect to get paid something for our time, at least enough for the essentials and a little something to walk away with at the end of the season to get us to our next destination. It's a fair request but I know some places can only offer so much. Willing to try and make something work for both ends. We are folks that pull our weight so expect a lot of questions. Looking for a very interactive partnership as guests on your farm.  There is a pup involved- a very farm oriented and gracious best friend, but we can only assume that some farms will be less accommodating here. Understandable. For farms that are doggie friendly- Sammy is great with the kiddos and other animals. It's not his first farm rodeo. Boxer/German Shepherd. Cassandra has raised him since he was 9 weeks old and is four.  About USCassandra- Has two full seasons in and many "partial" season's experience on mostly veggie farms. Has worked on two dairy farms, one commercial, the other small organic, greenhouse, landscaping etc. Wants to know all there is to know about livestock (weakest point of knowledge). Turned down farm manager position for this season to keep exploring. Went to school for hort. and conservation (among other things). 25, female, curious, active. Additionally, if you can show me how to make soap, how to work with bees, make milk or cheese, if you run a bakery and can show me how to make pies, sheer sheep, remind me how to saddle a horse, make tinctures, butcher meet, show me more about medicinal herbs and plant id, or know creative ways to do the ordinary farm task... For the love of Pete, teach me.  Paul- Grew up a farm boy in Upstate NY and wants to reconnect with the good life. While growing up on the farm which was mostly livestock, he had the experience of working with horses, cows, pigs, chickens and goats. He is looking to expand his knowledge in all areas of farm/homesteading/permaculture and self-sustenance to one day own a farm to raise a family upon. Willing to do any job thrown his way, loves people. Paul currently runs a kitchen in a place on the water in sunny Florida. 27, strong work ethic and curious. Paul is looking forward to getting back to the land learning more skills to help him achieve a good life living simply.  We are open to all possibilities so if what we have going on interests you, or you would like to discuss options, please give us a shout! Here is our phone number and email address, please get a hold of us anytime. Email or phone is the best way to get a hold of us. Paul, Cassandra and the Sam. 315.753.2041charring@oswego.edu
