The Three Springs Flower Garden and Intentional Community is nestled in the Sierra Foothills, in North Fork, California, just 30 miles south of Yosemite National Park, and borders the Sierra National Forest.
We have 160 acres(we farm only 5 acres) with meadows, forests, creeks, ponds, waterfalls, swimming holes and wildlife. Many
outdoor activities abound on the land and nearby including hiking, camping, mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking, canoeing and kayaking.

We are looking for long-term apprentices (1-8 months)
and short-term volunteer helpers for our organic,
non-certified, flower, vegetable and fruit garden. We welcome able bodied, responsible and fun lovingpeople.
All aspects of flower, vegetable and fruit cultivation will be experienced from seed to harvest, including
irrigation systems, greenhouse management, flower arranging, marketing, composting, cover cropping, weed control, soil fertility, fertilization and pest control.

Living and working within our intentional community
makes for involvement in non-farming projects as well. Some of these include helping at the local food coop,
collecting fire wood, trail construction, brushfire fuel reduction and infrastructurebuilding.??Room and board is offered in
exchange for a commitment of 32 hours a week of work (hours are flexible), participation at a weekly meeting and doing a community chore.
For volunteer helpers a three-day minimum stay would
be most appreciated. The work days are from 5 to 7 hours and are coordinated with the daily apprentice
program activities. Room and board are offered in exchange for work. Shorter and extended stays are
negotiable. Volunteers are welcomed all year round. Accommodations are "rustic" (no electricity or running
water). Dwellings include cabins, tent camping, a renovated school bus and a trailer. A composting
toilet is centrally located. The community bathroom,
kitchen, laundry area, video/dvd viewing room and DSL
computer office are shared.

We are one hour from the city of Fresno, four hours
from San Francisco, and five hours from Los Angeles.
Airport, bus and train terminals are located in
Fresno.

Throughout the year there are locally sponsored
cultural events, classes, workshops and retreats.

No pets. Yes music, instruments, singing,
storytelling, art, dancing and good vibes.
