Organic Planet Farms is a family owned and operated farm learning center, providing members with freshly picked organic fruits and vegetables each week of the year.Michael Cone and Carollyn Reiman started Organic Planet Farms in 1996 and have been running a successful membership Co-op (CSA) since July 1997 providing year round bounty to its members.
Since learning "Biointensive Organic Sustainable Mini-Farming" from John Jeavons in December 1996, they have perfected their own "Bio-Logical" gardening techniques for "Walking Softly on Mother Earth", which they have subsequently taught to many organic gardening enthusiasts from around the world (over 25 in 2002 alone)
Their 7.2 acre farm and learning center is located among the foothills in Fallbrook, California also known as the "Avocado Capital of the World", an area that is rich with plant nurseries, exotic fruit and macadamia nut orchards. The farm's microclimate, a "Banana Belt" is considered the best in the world and allows them to grow 26 kinds of fruit and over 200 varieties of heirloom vegetables through-out all 52 weeks of the year.
Organic Planet Farms' motto is "To exemplify the sustainable lifestyle of the future here and now." All of their techniques are designed toward achieving this goal.
