We are an ecovillage of 100 people on 450 acres. We produce a significant portion of our own food, through various community agriculture programs--gardens, livestock, etc.
wouldn't quite consider it an ecovillage, but it is certainly a experiment in communal living, providing an accessible model for alternative society since the 70's. it is an egalitarian community, sharing home, garden, and cottage industry
