We are Candra and Nate. We have about 7 acres on the New River in the tiny town of Eggleston, VA. We are a year into building our permaculture homestead. We would like to also eventually get into biodynamics.
So far we only have a small garden. We have cleared enough trees for more garden and orchard space, but are currently focusing on shelter. We have built a small dwelling of light clay staw which we still have to plaster. That is what we are working on now. Simultaneously we will be building a ferrocement water tank into which we will harvest rain water from our roof. After that, we will begin the greenhouse, which will be attached to the structure.
For interns, we have a 15x20 pole shed complete with kitchen, bed (which is actually 2 small futon matresses that can be separated), and attached composting outhouse.
What we need right now is help applying earthen plaster to our dwelling, as well as brainstorming about future projects.
