GEOGRAPHIC DESCRIPTION:

We manage over 110ha of the native humid forest, with a great variety of fauna and flora and birds. Located in the height between 1700 - 2400 meters above sea level, with average temperature of 20 degrees celcius. Lots of water, more than 10 waterfalls.

 ACCESS:

Quillbamaba is located  175km away from Cusco (6hs by bus) and 125km away from Machu Picchu. Quillbamaba is the capital of the La Convecion Province and the access to the forest.

We are located 1h drive from Quillbamaba and than 2hs walk.

 PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our project is called Sircadia Project and contains of 5 branches of activities:

1. Agni Hotra - Homa Therapy Centre

2. Eco-Community

3. Madre Selva Ecolodge – adventure and mystical tourism

4. Integral model farm of permaculture, food preservation, production of fruits and honey

5. Centre of yoga, meditation, rest and health

 We are located in a closed valley with a private access, which creates an appropriate environment for our activities and the project of conservation on private level according to the Peruvian law.

FARM DESCRIPTION:

Currently we have 1ha of vegetable garden with lettuce, beans, pea, cabbage, potatos, sweet potatos, and traditional foods of the region such as uncucha and birraca.

We are preparing the land for the all types of vegetables.

Fruit wise we have planted 100 trees of banana, 100 trees of avocado, few trees of apples and peach and soon we are to plant many trees of Sweet granadilla.

We have recently planted 100 trees of Incienso and 50 trees of Cedrus.

We are about to start honey production for our own use and for external sale as well.

We are also planning to launch a fish farming project in the near future.

 INFRASTRUCTURE:

We have build a wooden house with 16 beds to be able to receive travelers, volunteers and visitors.  We also have an additional wooden building used for meetings.

We are now starting the construction of a health centre dedicated to natural therapies.

ACTIVITIES FOR VOLUNTEERS:

Volunteers will be able to help in all areas of farming, construction of wooden buildings and with feed ideas for the design of the overall project.

Volunteers will live as part of the community and as such will also participate in the daily duties such as cooking, washing, shopping, etc.

CONDITIONS:

Volunteers are requested to work 5 hs per daily (Sundays off).

Drugs and alcohol are prohibited onsite.

Each participant is responsible to obtain a valid tourist visa (usually 3 months) and arrive in Cusco or Quillabamba.

ACCOMODATION OFFERED

Accommodation offered is a wooden house with 16 beds.

FOOD OFFERED

Food offered is completely vegetarian, with fish and cheese. The diet designed by our nutritional professionals is perfectly nutritionally balanced based on right combination of vegetables, cereals and legumes. Variety of tees and coffee is also provided.

 OTHER ACTIVITES OFFERED

In addition to the accommodation and food offered as a volunteer package we also offer:

1.       Spanish classes – 2 to 3 hs daily

2.       Mystical tourism – Ayahuasca ceremonies

3.       Adventure tourism – Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu visit, Waterfalls tour, Visit to the native Indians communities

4.       Chess classes and competitions
