CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
SPREAD THE WORD!
We need volunteers for organic farm in its beginning stages.
Saturdays, at 10:30am in Matittuck is the time and place where we gather.
(255 OREGON RD., MATITTUCK, NY 11952 @ MILL LANE).
Directions are LIE to exit 71 North till Sound Ave East till Mill Lane North till end. Make left roll 50 feet make right onto farm.
Tell people you know who want to get involved!
Saturdays kicks off our push in building an army of passionate farm minded folks!
Its a crucial time for the farm as we are building soil and acquiring equipment.
Please consider helping out and become part of a worthy cause while learning about farming organically.
Below is our mission statement
New York Natural Farming, is a continuing development of farms for growing organic vegetables and fruits, adapting technologies new and old, to allow the farm to be self sufficient and profitable with the minimal impact to the environment.
Agriculture Supported Community is the mantra for our organization as Agriculture has always supported Community however the community has rarely supported Agriculture!
Individuals become involved on the highest level and help in the creativity of a well defined productive program on the farm.
Organic farming practices, alternative technologies for energy, composting, beekeeping, marketing, public relations, management, and eventually livestock are typical tasks that require our attention.
The farm encourages a safe and inspiring learning environment.
Interns and volunteers can experience the farm business but also become part of daily solutions that a typical farm may need.
All can leave after the days end and feel a level of accomplishment not only for themselves but how they may have impacted the farm, which is a microcosm of challenges and solutions to help our community locally and worldwide.
We work together in developing an open forum to all and create relationships which will be rewarding.
We seek individuals with passion, motivation, creativity, physical stamina, team player skills, problem solving interests, and commitment to a project till its conclusion.
The farm is used in understanding the emerging properties of the impact of man and his environment.
