Young, vibrant farm family looking for Vegetable Manager and 2-3 Interns for 2013 season! Our farm is a great place to learn about diversified farming and to work with farmers who are passionate about their work and their place in the community as farmers. On our MOFGA certified organic diversified family farm we are milking cows, raising 4 acres of mixed vegetables, beef, pastured broiler chickens, pastured pork, and seasonally pastured laying hens. We milk a mixed genetics herd of 45 cows raised happily on pasture. We attend four farmers' markets each week in Maine during the growing season and three winter markets.

We are looking for a Vegetable Manager who has experience with all aspects of vegetable production from seeding and weeding to harvest and marketing. We also offer 2-3 internship positions each season working primarily in the vegetable production part of our farm, but also focusing on caring for our small livestock and attending farmers' markets.
At market we sell organic raw milk in glass bottles, organic beef, organic veggies, pastured eggs, and pork. Working on our farm your experience will include (but not be limited to!) seeding, composting, cultivation, harvesting, grading, selling at farmers' markets, making cheese and yogurt, food preservation, moving cows around, making hay, management intensive grazing practices, cooking and enjoying the most delicious foods, co-habitation with other crew members, hanging out with the farm children, and working hard.
